For the sixth consecutive year, Valley Thunder players worked together to raise funds for two wonderful charities. The Little Stars Holidays from the Heart program is organized by Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles, and allows donors to adopt families with a child suffering from a major health condition that requires expensive treament. Valley Thunder raises money with a "Free-Throw-a-Thon", then purchases Christmas presents for two of these families. The players wrap the gifts, then carpool at a later date to deliver them. Any funds that are not used are then donated to the Max of a Million Dreams Foundation, which supports pediatric cancer research as well as the charity's "Rocket Bear Stuffing Station." This is a portable teddy bear stuffing machine which the Foundation takes to kids hospitalized with cancer at CHLA.

Since this program was founded by VT parent Richard Isaacs in 2006, the hard work and generosity of our players, families and close friends has raised over $35,000. For more information on these invaluable charities...
